Dr. Hassan is a Gynaecologist and Reproductive Medicine/ IVF Specialist. After practising general Obstetrics & Gynaecology for 16 years in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the UK, he started his reproductive medicine/IVF fellowship training at the prestigious St Mary’s university hospital Manchester in 2016. He developed special interest in male fertility/andrology, oncofertility and Reprogenetics. He completed his Master’s degree in Human Reproduction/ART from the University of Bristol, UK and also achieved the British Fertility Society (BFS) Certification during this stay.
After completing the fellowship while working in the busy NHS IVF unit, he moved to the private IVF sector at London Womens Clinic Harley Street London which is one of the largest IVF providers in the UK with more than 10 regional clinics. Here he was part of the Reprogenetics and Implantation assessment clinic teams, managing couples with genetic issues requiring preimplantation genetic screening/diagnosis and implantation failure issues requiring endometrial assessment. The clinic had developed an expertise in the social egg freezing cases over the years and Dr Hassan developed a lot of experience in managing fertility preservation patients while working at London Womens clinic.
Before joining the Corniche Fertility Centre Abu Dhabi UAE, he worked for some time at the Centre for Reproduction and Gynaecology Wales (CRGW Cardiff)- the largest IVF provider in the region. He was part of the three consultants team providing all the fertility services including surgical sperm retrievals.
Dr Hassan has special interest in teaching reproductive medicine and is part of many online teaching forums. He has published in peer- reviewed journals including a high impact Cochrane review on “Assisted Hatching in IVF” and a male fertility research article in the Middle East Fertility Society journal.
Dr. Hassan believes that every couple is unique and therefore his focus is to tailor his approach and ensure personalized management. He understands that fertility journey can be long and sometimes complex and difficult emotions creep up that demand a very sensitive, empathetic and affectionate care. He is very aware to make couples feel supported and not abandoned at any point in their journey. He identifies himself as a minimalist and believes that the least invasive and the most cost-effective option is usually the best option in majority of cases.
His family includes a wife who is a radiologist and three children aged 11, 6 and 4. He follows cricket, tennis and enjoys reading autobiographies.
He is very happy to be part of the Genova IVF team as an internationally based consultant. Through Genova he is able to realize his long-awaited dream of providing his services to couples struggling with fertility in Pakistan.
